Resume: Ivor Foster
Ivor commenced coaching in USA in 1975
working, year round, with youth players with an emphasis
on technique and player development in four States,
New York, Colorado, Florida and New Jersey. He obtained
the USSF National "C" license in 1978. Ivor
has had the privilege to train and develop many players
who have become State, Regional, and College players,
at all division levels, many commencing their high
School playing in their freshman year, several are
now in the College coaching ranks.
Ivor has coached in the ODP program
plus select, elite teams, club teams and is presently
coaching an U13 team in Highland Soccer Club. Over
the years he has provided training to many teams in
the Sussex County Area plus other counties in New
Jersey,. He has worked in several Soccer Camps and
professionally trained many teams. In addition has
carried out pre-season training of High School Teams
in two States, Colorado and New Jersey. Since becoming
involved with Highland Soccer Club in 1994 Ivor has
held technique training for any interested player
on Saturday Mornings and continues to do so.
To complement the above and in a period
between 1975 and 1983 Ivor was cofounder of a soccer
club in Middletown New York, and held various positions
such as: - President of Hudson Valley Youth Soccer
League. Regional Commissioner and then President of
Southern New York Youth Soccer League, Member of the
USYSA Skill committee, Chairman and member of the
USYSA planning committee, A Director of Colorado Youth
Soccer Association, responsible for the ODP program.
